Cultural recovery : European Parliament puts pressure on member States
A group of MEPs from all political groups is calling on EU states to ensure that part of the post-Covid recovery funds are earmarked for culture, and to put in place fiscal incentives, such as tax credits, in favor of creation.
Just before Christmas, a group of more than 100 MEPs sent an open letter to Heads of State, Finance Ministers and Culture Ministers of all EU countries. They want an earmarking of at least 2% of national recovery budgets for culture, and ask for tax incentives for creation.
