OpenAI slams the door in the face of the French press
In a response to major press publishers in France, Open AI says it has no need to negotiate with the French press, and assures that it respects publishers’ intellectual property rights. The publishers are currently wondering about a possible lawsuit.
Open AI has signed agreements with the New York Times, Le Monde, Axel Springer and, most recently, Condé Nast. These agreements have obviously raised the hopes of other press publishers, particularly in France. But the developer of ChatGPT is unlikely to feed its generative AI tools…
