Amazon Prime joins the Motion Picture Association
The Motion Picture Association confirms its technological turn. After Netflix, Amazon Prime and Amazon-owned MGM Studios are joining the very powerful Hollywood representative, whose influence is inescapable in Washington but also in Brussels. Unlike Netflix, which left the tech organizations of which it was a member when it joined the MPA, Amazon – which extends far beyond the creation and distribution of films and series – will retain a foot in each sector.
