Culture relegated at the IA summit: Rachida Dati sees red and the Elysée responds
In recent days, strong tensions have emerged between the Elysée on the one hand, and the Ministry of Culture and the creative sector on the other. At issue is the President’s unfulfilled promise that culture would play a leading role at the summit on artificial intelligence. Yet the Elysée assures ElectronLibre that « The opportunities and risks that AI represents for culture will be at the heart of the Summit for Action on AI ».
Everyone knows, unless they’ve spent the last few months in a cave, that on February 10 and 11, 2025, the Presidency of the French Republic is organizing a summit for action on artificial intelligence. The idea, according to the Elysée website, is to bring together « at the Grand Palais, heads of state and government, leaders of international organizations, small and large companies, representatives of academia, researchers, non-governmental organizations, artists and other members…
