France Music Week: AI and copyright on everyone’s mind
France Music Week closed with an international summit at which all the industry’s professions were represented, and was the occasion for a message of reconciliation from the President of the Centre national de la musique. With the exception of Alphabet, who had sent Lyor Cohen from YouTube, no generative AI developers were present, despite the fact that the subject was on everyone’s lips.
The first edition of France Music Week came to an end, leaving the question lingering: will it be repeated? Emmanuel Macron has expressed his wish to see the event perpetuated, but it remains to be seen what added value it will bring to the French music scene.
