The big confusion surrounding the entry into force of the IA act
Today, the European Commission presents its Code of Practice on generative AI, but political and industry tensions cast doubt on developer buy-in, while several governments are calling for a postponement of the AI Act.
The provisions of the AI Act applicable to generative artificial intelligences come into force on August 2: this is stated in the text itself. In this context, the European Commission will today present its Code of Practice on generative AI (CoP) to the various stakeholders, which should have been published, again according to the text of the AI Act, on May 2.
