Today, the European Commission presents its Code of Practice on generative AI, but political and industry tensions cast doubt on developer buy-in, while several governments are calling for a postponement of the AI Act. The provisions of the AI Act applicable to generative artificial intelligences come into force on August 2: this is stated in the text itself.
