AI Act: Review of the final plenary session

The final AI Act plenary, attended by nearly a thousand stakeholders, gave the European Commission’s AI Office the opportunity to present the future guidelines and code of practice on artificial intelligence in Europe, although publication of the expected texts has been delayed, leaving questions and expectations unanswered.

The « final plenary » devoted to the implementing texts of the IA Act was held yesterday, organized by the European Commission’s Artificial Intelligence Office (AI Office), and attended by nearly a thousand stakeholders: AI developers, representatives of rights holders from the cultural sector, generative AI deployers, members of civil society, researchers and industrialists. The aim was to present the future implementation guidelines of the European regulation on artificial intelligence (AI Act), in particular those concerning generative AI, as well as the code of practice for providers of General Purpose AI (GPAI) models.
