The cultural sector is outraged by the European Commission’s lack of ambition to protect copyright when it comes to implementing the IA Act. To give effect to the obligations that the IA Act places on AI developers vis-à-vis copyright holders, the European Commission is due to adopt a « Code of Practice » over the next few months. A second draft of this Code was published at the end of December, based on a dialogue involving almost a thousand protagonists that began this summer.
