The French Secretary of State for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technology met with representatives of the French tech sector this morning to discuss the tariffs announced by the US administration. Tax retaliation measures against American tech, whose representatives were not invited, are being considered. This afternoon, France’s Economy and Finance Minister Éric Lombard received several of his colleagues, and representatives of various industries, to discuss « measures that could be taken at the French level » in response to the tariffs announced by Donald Trump on April 2.
