The European Commission has published, with some delay, the Code of practice for general-purpose AI models, raising questions about its adoption by developers, even though it is optimistic about their commitment. It should be emphasized that, for the time being, this is only a pre-publication. The European Commission and member states still have to validate the text, a process which is not expected to materialize before mid-August. Habemus Codex!
