Council of Europe AI Convention: no disruption for the AI Act

The European Parliament’s Internal Market and Civil Liberties Committees recommend that the EU accede to the Council of Europe Framework Convention on AI, which is considered compatible with the AI Act. This Convention allows the EU to promote a global framework based on fundamental rights and risk management without calling into question its strict regulatory architecture, despite the difficulties associated with the application of the AI Act.
