‘Trump TV’ and its counterparts around the world
The White House has launched a live stream on YouTube called ‘ Trump TV ’, integrated into the presidency’s official website and app. The stream plays a loop of Donald Trump’s highlights, including his speech at Mount Rushmore on 3 July and the one delivered in May 2025 to cadets at West Point. Kaelen Dorr, the White House’s head of digital strategy, describes it as an ‘unfiltered’ live feed of the… administration’s best moments. The description at least has the merit of not misrepresenting its purpose: it is an unapologetic political communication tool, not a media outlet that would still claim to separate the narrative of power from the power of the narrative.
