Michael Weber : « Google so far has not been effectively regulated by US authorities »
Michael Weber is the Chairman of ICOMP. With FairSearch, ICOMP is one of the two main Brussels organizations involved in the complaints relating to Google’s abuses of dominance. He answers ElectronLibre’s questions and announces that new complaints against Google are very likely, as « since the first and latest Statement of Objections we even see a rise in interest from potential US complainants and authorities in becoming active against Google in the US or EU jurisdictions ». He also addresses allegations of protectionism and lack of fairness by the European Commission in this case and others. This claim was made, among others, by Barack Obama’s Secretary of the Treasury Jack Lew.
