Renew divided on the Digital Services Act
Karen Melchior claims that her proposals in the Legal Affairs Committee represent those of the entire Renew group. ElectronLibre found out that this is not the case. Several MEPs, including Stéphane Séjourné and Adrian Vasquez-Lazara, will not support most of her positions on 30 September.
Danish MEP Karen Melchior favors a liberal Digital Services Act, with minimum obligations for platforms in case of potentially illegal content. She thought she had enough weight in the Legal Affairs Committee to impose her vision, at least to the members of her group, the centrist Renew group.
