Gemini : Google’s reassuring operational approach
In its report published today largely aimed at reassuring users and policymakers, Google details the legal and organizational mechanisms intended to govern Gemini. This procedural and industrial approach contrasts with Claude’s constitution published by Anthropic at the end of January. Two distinct normative strategies, but one notable commonality: the absence of an explicit position on copyright.
A few weeks after the publication, at the end of January 2026, of Claude’s new constitution by Anthropic, Google has unveiled its « 2026 Responsible AI Progress Report, » dedicated to how its responsible AI principles are applied in its products, particularly around the Gemini family of models….
