Copyright Directive: MEPs hold the EU Commission to account
Last week, a very tense meeting took place between members of the European Parliament, and representatives of the European Commission and Member States, on the interpretation of Article 17 of the Copyright Directive. Thierry Breton’s cabinet, which was invited, did not participate.
A group of MEPs of all political stripes is concerned that the implementation of Article 17 of the Copyright Directive is not going in the direction intended when the text was adopted.
