The Wölken report is adopted
The report by MEP Tiemo Wölken on “adapting commercial and civil law rules for commercial entities operating online” has been adopted by the Committee on Legal Affairs. Opponent of Article 17 of the Copyright Directive, Tiemo Wölken stated that his proposals on content moderation are not in conflict with this text. He also believes that there is a « broad consensus » on the harmful nature of personalized advertising : his report calls on the EU Commission to legislate in this area.
