Meta gets rid of fact-checkers and replaces them with Community Notes
Mark Zuckerberg has announced a complete turnaround in content removal policies on Meta, with the end of fact-checkers, who he says have operated political censorship, and will be replaced by Community Notes. He is also announcing a concentration of his networks’ resources on the removal of proven illegal content. It is not yet known what consequences these announcements will have in Europe, where Meta finances numerous fact-checking services for traditional media.
