Culture at the IA summit: an ultra-short round table and a charter that has disappeared

The AI summit organized by the Elysée next week features a round table on creation, with a vague title and whose content and participants are still a mystery. Its organizers are no longer planning any « deliverables » on the respect of copyright by AI developers, whereas a charter was initially planned. An advisor to the President of the French Republic believes that the subject of copyright is too Franco-French.

The AI Action Summit will take place on February 10 and 11 at the Grand Palais, with several official side events starting the day after tomorrow. There will be two scientific days, on February 6 and 7, and two cultural days, on February 8 and 9. The cultural sector, supported by the Ministry, has fought hard to be present at the summit itself, but also to obtain commitments from the Heads of State and companies present on the respect of copyright by AI, which is the big issue for the creative world in this year 2025.
