Apple and Meta fined the first two times for non-compliance with the DMA
The European Commission kicks off enforcement of the Digital Markets Act with €700 million fines for Apple and Meta, accusing them of restricting free consumer choice and imposing conditions that do not comply with the new regulations. Both decisions will probably be appealed, which will be the first real test of the legal soundness of the DMA, a text considered unclear by many specialists.
