Audio in 2046: our new series, episode one – radio
We wanted to take this a step further following Médiamétrie’s publication of the latest figures from *L’Année Audio 2025–2026*. This study reveals much more than just the current state of radio, streaming or podcasts. These figures highlight behaviour patterns that now vary significantly across generations. ElectronLibre has extrapolated these trends by projecting the ageing of the various cohorts and… cross-referencing them with INSEE’s demographic projections. What will remain of radio in ten or twenty years’ time? When might streaming overtake it? And what role will AI play in this new audio economy? That is the subject of this three-part series.
