Polish EU Presidency: focus on media, Creative Europe and misinformation
Poland, which holds the Council of the EU presidency until June, presented its cultural program. There was little mention of AI, and more of the European program Creative Europe, the revision of the Audiovisual Media Services Directive, and the fight against disinformation. Poland holds the presidency of the EU Council from January 1, and until June 30. It precedes Denmark and succeeds Hungary. Hungary held a strange presidency, since most of the political formations in the European Parliament, and many EU countries, consider it persona non grata due to its government’s political orientations, which are deemed too right-wing.
