AI: UNESCO wants to rearm the Convention on Cultural Diversity
Faced with international governance of artificial intelligence that too often marginalizes cultural issues and copyright, a large majority of States Parties to the 2005 Convention support the development of an additional protocol dedicated to AI. This is a strong political signal that could restore the normative scope of cultural diversity in the era of generative models.
