CISAC on AI : « we cannot let tech companies and policy makers take all the decisions »
While the issues of data on creative works and copyright collection remain at the heart of CISAC’s activity, the international organization of authors’ societies has also taken the bull by the horns when it comes to AI, and when it comes to regulation in certain key territories such as Africa and China.
The International Confederation of Authors Societies (CISAC) today presented its annual report, which details the actions implemented around the world on behalf of its members. One of these key actions is, of course, the preparation, at the end of each year, of its report on worldwide collections, which is an invaluable tool for analyzing trends and which, in its time, helped convince the European institutions that political action was necessary to ensure remuneration for creators for the exploitation of their works online.
